By Road
First and foremost, do not drink and drive. If you are intending to drink, we recommend that you use public transport or hire a taxi. Alternatively, choose a designated driver who has agreed to stick to non-alcoholic drinks.
Grantham is close to the A1 London-Edinburgh road. It is also on the A52, which links it to Nottingham, Boston and Skegness, and the A607 between Leicester and Lincoln.
By Train
Grantham is on the East Coast Main Line, and is served by National Express East Coast trains between London King's Cross, the North of England, and Scotland. Hull Trains services also call at Grantham. Doncaster, Retford, Newark and Peterborough are all accessible on Main Line trains. Please be aware, however, that not all trains stop at all stations, so check your journey times before boarding.
East Midlands Trains operates via Grantham, on the Norwich to Liverpool and the Nottingham to Skegness routes. Between them, these services also provide direct links with Sheffield, Sleaford, Boston and a number of local villages. Batemans Brewery is only a short walk from Wainfleet station, which is between Boston and Skegness.
By Bus
Stagecoach operates a half-hourly service direct to Lincoln from Grantham bus station. The service frequency reduces at evenings and on Sundays, so please check the timetable before travelling. CrossCounty operates hourly buses to Loughborough via Melton Mowbray, though this service runs during the daytime only, and does not operate on a Sunday.
