Where Is Grantham?
Grantham is a market town in Lincolnshire, close to the county's borders with Leicestershire and Nottinghamshire. It has a population in the region of 35,000. Some facts about Grantham:
- Famous faces from the Grantham area include mathematician and physicist Isaac Newton; former British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher; and broadcaster and quiz show host Nicholas Parsons.
- Grantham is famous for its gingerbread. A few outlets in the town still sell this local delicacy.
- Martin O'Neill, currently in charge at Aston Villa Football Club, took the reins at Grantham Town FC during the early stages of his managerial career.
