Grantham CAMRA is the local branch of the Campaign for Real Ale, serving the town of Grantham in Lincolnshire, and its surrounding villages.
CAMRA is a national organisation which campaigns for real ale, real pubs and consumer rights. It is an independent, voluntary organisation with over 85,000 members and has been described as the most successful consumer group in Europe.

Grantham CAMRA is pleased to announce the winners of its 2009 Pub of the Year awards. The town Pub of the Year, for the second year in succession, is the Tollemache Inn. The Country Pub of the Year is the White Swan, Barrowby. Congratulations to both establishments for their commitment to real ale. Both are worthy winners.
In addition, John Senior, who stepped down as Branch Chairman at the last AGM, was presented with an award for his outstanding contribution to the branch (left: new Chairman Richard Howlett and John Senior).

John Fairhurst of the White Swan, Barrowby, is presented with the Country Pub of the Year award by Branch Chairman Richard Howlett.

Paul Squires of the Tollemache Inn is presented with the Town Pub of the Year award by Branch Chairman Richard Howlett.
A Special General Meeting has been called, to approve the branch accounts. It will take place at the Coachman Inn, Corby Glen at 8pm on Wednesday, 1 April, 2009.
A number of committee members stood down at the Grantham CAMRA AGM. The Branch would like to thank them all for their hard work. Special thanks go to our outgoing Chairman, John Senior.
